Sleep After Menopause
Maria J. Sunseri M.D.
With humor and grace, Dr. Sunseri shares the insight of over 25 years of experience in neurology and sleep medicine. She walks with the reader, like a well-informed friend, with tools to traverse this bridge in life with some guidance and purposeful methods to counteract the spiral of negativity in which so many women find themselves at this juncture in their life.
In less than 100 pages, this educational book provides knowledge on how the body sleeps, questionnaires and sleep diaries. A "Sleeping Well" summary and "Other Helpful Tips" section makes it easy for the reader to quickly reference the material as needed.
The book is written in a straightforward, conversational manner. As I read it, I was reminded of the direct, informational style of conversation many healthcare providers use when explaining medical conditions and treatment options to their patients. Reading it is rather like attending an ideal office visit with a personable, knowledgeable, caring, and helpful doctor or other medical provider. - Carol L. Gnatuk, MD
"Dr. Sunseri's approach to sleep has helped countless numbers of my patients. Her advice has helped patients with long-standing sleep issues, as well as issues related to menopause. She uses a no-nonsense and evidence-based approach that really works. I am excited that her advice will now be able to be disseminated to those who are unable to meet her in person. I highly recommend this book." - Judith Balk, MD, MPH
