About the author:
Dianne Harman draws her stories and characters from a diverse business and personal background. She owned a national antique and art appraisal business for many years, left that industry, and opened two yoga centers where she taught yoga and certified yoga instructors. She's traveled extensively throughout the world and loves nothing more than cooking and playing with her dog, Kelly.
Being a dog lover and having attended numerous cooking schools, she couldn't resist writing about food and dogs. She is the author of three cozy mystery series: Cedar Bay, Liz Lucas, and her newest, High Desert. Each of these books contains recipes from her travels. She is also the author of the award-winning suspenseful Coyote Series.
A number of books in her cozy mystery series have been designated by Amazon as All-Stars because of their sales, and Dianne has been named by Amazon seven times as one of their most popular authors.

The Blue Butterfly
When the Lotis Blue butterfly, an endangered species, is sighted in a forest where logging operations are being conducted, it sets off a chain reaction in the small town of Red Cedar, California. David Sanders, a Forest Service employee and the step-brother of the popular owner of Gertie's Diner, is found murdered after he entered the forest to look for the blue butterfly. But who killed him?
There are plenty of suspects, and what's the motive? Was it the Jefferson Lumber Company employee who developed cancer from the improper use of formaldehyde at the company's plywood plant? Or George Myers, the jealous husband of Ruby, David's former lover, who has anger issues? Ruby could also be considered a suspect. And what about the Environmental Studies teaching assistant? Or the Forest Service employee who's fanatic about saving the environment. Or even Gertie?
Join Liz Lucas and her boxer guard dog, Winston, as she helps the incompetent, bumbling chief of police search for the murderer before he makes a mistake and arrests her friend Gertie. As always, there are dogs, good food and recipes.
This is the fifth book in the Liz Lucas Cozy Mystery Series. Dianne is also the author of two other cozy mystery series, Cedar Bay and High Desert, both of which are best sellers. To find out more about Dianne and her books, visit her web site at www.DianneHarman.com
