This cookbook is a collection of our favorite, seasonal recipes featuring the fresh produce grown and harvested at our farms, and then transformed into healthy dishes by our program participants, staff, and local chefs.
Windy City Harvest is the Chicago Botanic Garden's urban agriculture initiative that helps to build a local food system, healthier communities, and greener economy. The program provides job training and education to more than 100 local youth and adults a year. While Windy City Harvest grows tens of thousands of pounds of fresh produce each year, our main crop is a dedicated and motivated workforce.
