About the author:
Betty Peercy Givan was born in Monticello, Kentucky, the youngest of six children. Early in life, she became interested in the preparation of food and began creating and collecting recipes at the age of 12. After retiring as a university professor of mathematics, she started sharing some quick and easy recipes on YouTube. After uploading her first video in January of 2009, she had no idea it would lead to having her own successful YouTube channel.

As of the end of 2015, she has over 1,800 video uploads, over 150,000 subscribers, and over 46 million video views on her YouTube channel, Betty's Kitchen.

The Betty's Kitchen Cookbook: 2015 Recipes

Authored by Betty Givan

This cookbook, "The Betty's Kitchen Cookbook: 2015 Recipes," is a supplement that contains all 135 recipes made in the year since Betty's last cookbook supplement was produced. Betty's supplemental cookbooks, along with her "The Bettyskitchen Collection: Second Edition" cookbook, contain ALL of the recipes that Betty has demonstrated between January 2009 and December 2015 on her popular YouTube channel, Betty's Kitchen.

Her style of cooking is mainly Southern homestyle food, but she has also uploaded quite a few dishes that did not originate in the South as well as many that she has created. She and her husband, Rick, have also expanded the focus of Betty's Kitchen to include their lifestyle, such as dinners out, trips, vacations, family gatherings and celebrations-each of which includes references to food and culminates in the demonstration of a recipe that they encounter during that experience.

A demonstration of each of the recipes included in this cookbook can be seen on the Betty's Kitchen channel of YouTube as well as on Betty's website, www.bettyskitchen.us.
