The Pilgrim's Progress
From this world, to that which is to come, in the similitude of a dream
The Pilgrim's Progress is one of the most enduring classics in all of literature, and is doubtless the best known work of John Bunyan. While now one knows for sure when this book was first written, most place it around 1678.
Because of its age, the original language has proven to be unwieldy to many readers in the 21st century. While many have attempted to update this classic, few have done it justice quite like James Baldwin did in 1913. It is especially notable that Baldwin took the task of updating both parts one and two of this classic, and included the pilgrimage of Christian's wife and children in part two.
Despite being adapted over one hundred years ago, the language in the book remains accessible today, and the heart of the text remains intact.
Whether you have never read Bunyan's classic before, or are now revisiting and old favorite, this version is sure to be a pleasure to readers of all ages.
