About the author:
Like many fantasy authors, Steve Williamson was introduced to the genre when he played his first game of Dungeons & Dragons. It was during a family camping trip in May, 1980, and as he and two friends sat inside a travel trailer rolling dice and fighting orcs, the air outside became gritty and hard to breathe. It was permeated with the fine grey ash spewing out of Mount St. Helens, which was erupting just 60 miles away.

Steve now lives in western Oregon in the shadow of another active volcano, Mount Hood.

Prologue: The Orphan’s Maker

Book One: Ohlen’s Arrow

In a brutal attack on Ohlen's village, an infant girl is kidnapped by a troop of cru’gan, a war-like species of creatures that are half man, half boar. He and his companions set out on a race against time to rescue the child before she is delivered to a mysterious witch, where she will be sacrificed in an evil ritual that will destroy the child's innocent soul.

Book Two: Ohlen’s Bane

The mining town of Eeron is under attack by dvaken, a race of dwarves driven by ruthless battle lust and hatred. Ohlen rushes into the mines in pursuit of the assassin that killed his best friend and betrayed the city, while his companions defend Eeron against all hope that help will arrive in time before the city is destroyed.

Book Three: Paragon’s Call

Emperor Percy Saltos has a problem. New species of brutal monsters called novaari are appearing throughout the empire, attacking villages and killing its citizens. He conscripts Ohlen and his friends to lead a ragtag group of criminal misfits called Paragons in a quest to seek out the monsters and slay them. They discover a secret about the novaari that is far more evil than they could have possibly imagined.
