About the author:
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Khadija lived in and around Seattle for 18 years. She has a BA in Social Justice and Early Childhood Education, and a MFA in Creative Writing. She has worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers from diverse, multicultural backgrounds since 1998 beginning her career in Early Childhood Education in large settings which included designing and implementing a Montessori Toddler classroom in a large center, working as a Montessori teacher and curriculum designer at a private Montessori Preschool, and work as a substitute teacher at a Reggio Emilia Preschool. Since 2005 she has owned and operated "Little Bohemians Daycare" in Los Angeles, a small home daycare. Khadija has 4 children of her own, ages 13-30.
