Chopin Etude op 10, nº 12 "Revolutionarie" (organ transcription)

Edition: 1

The Study Op. 10 No. 12 in C minor, known as the Revolutionary Étude, is a solo piano Fryderyk Chopin composed around 1831. It is the twelfth of its first series ofstudies (Twelve Grandes Études) dedicated to the great virtuoso Franz Liszt. The study appeared approximately known as the Revolution of the Cadets, the November Uprising
in Poland in 1831. Unlike studies of earlier times, designed to emphasize and develop particular technical aspects, the romantic studies of composers like Liszt and Chopin have been frequently used as concert pieces, but still share the same objective of developing the technique
against the instrument. In this idea, maintaining that spirit of development of technical and mechanical aspects without losing the cool and fresh impetus to stand before a concert piece, this experiment adaptation is addressed to pedalier study the piano writing as a Pedal-Exercitium. The effort, almost Herculianus, the technique of bottom
bracket carry mechanical writing of the original version, it aims to preserve the orchestral drama and almost feverish atmosphere of this immortal page Chopin. To do this, without adding anything that had not been written by the Polish master, and
displacing much of the musical material to the execution of the bottom bracket is to acquire a technique pedal already practiced the great virtuoso Charles Valentin Alkan, who apparently because of the great technical skill as a pianist, Franz Liszt himself deeply respected even somehow
come even to fear and envy.
To honor the memory of Alkan, this transcript is inspired, and humbly dedicated to the great master Jean Guillou, true Fausto-organist, who with 83 years is unsurpassed for its creativity and instrumental mastery, revolutionary incredible musical organ and wonderful life example , musical and humanistic with deep respect that follow.
