Dr. Derrick Drakeford is a Social Entrepreneur and CEO of Drakeford, Scott, and Associates L.L.C. Derrick is a former faculty member of North Carolina Central University in the Masters in Public Administration Program, and served as the Director of Freshman Studies at Shaw University. Derrick has consulted with nonprofit organizations, schools, businesses, and churches for fifteen years. He holds a BS in Political Science from Bethune-Cookman College; a Masters in Public Administration from the University of North Carolina's School of Government; a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from UNC's School of Social Work; Certificates in Proposal Writing and Fundraising for Nonprofits from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. Derrick received his Ph.D. in education from UNC-Chapel Hill. Derrick has a wife Iris and a daughter Jada.
Angela Hicks is a coach, trainer and teacher well versed in proposal writing. She has secured over $20,000,000 in contract and grant funds. Dr. Hicks received her doctoral degree in Leadership, Adult and Continuing Education from North Carolina State University, specializing in global education, adult education strategies, training, program development and evaluation. She received her master's degree in Organizational Development from Bowie State University in Bowie MD and a Liberal Arts degree from University of Maryland, College Park, MD.
