A Chick Called Victor

Authored by Ophelia Myall
Illustrated by Nilkamal Solanki

Hello to my potential readers. This book was inspired by my childhood experience. Having told the story to my 9 year old daughter, she loved it and she convinced me that other children needed to hear/read this story. I want to share my experience, as a child, through this book, because I felt and still feel that this book will help you, as a parent, guardian, teacher, or a well meaning adult to reinforce kindness, compassion, and love in your children.

One of the lessens that readers should take away is that the only incentive for being kind should be to see that the recipient of that kindness grow, benefit, or is happy. In helping others (animals and people) we must always act from a place of love and the end result of our actions is always rewarding to those we help as well as oursleves.

This book is a story between three children and a chick and is based on love, helpfulness, and compassion towards children (children with children) and animals, which are quallities that we love to instill in our children from an early age. This children's book shows how acts of kindness never go unpaid.
A Chick Called Victor is the perfect gift for a child of any age (the recommended age is 5 to 10 years old, but children younger can have it as long as parents help them to read it). You can read it to your infant if you are one who loves reading to your child from a young age. If you love books that are appropriate for both boys and girls, this is the perfect book.

I welcome you to join in this adventure with Victor and these three children (Lori, Kevin, and Zena) in what is the first of a series of books that will help instill good character in your children while at the same time entertain and spark their imagination.
