About the author:
Tammy Sue (Peterson) Willey was raised in Newtown and Sandy Hook, Connecticut. Determined to make sense of her childhood abuse and figure out who to blame, her quest began by asking questions, digging up the past, seeking and knocking on real doors and those of peoples' hearts. She participated in trainings such as: Grief and Loss for Women, Beyond Trauma, TREP Trauma Recovery, she became certified as a Recovery Support Specialist, and certified through CCADV to co- facilitate a domestic violence group. This along with the help of dark chocolate and hiking helped her discover uncovering the wound may not happen overnight but it can happen. She is happily married to a wonderful man, a seasoned musician, who brought music back into her life.
