About the author:
Duane L. Martin grew up in Northern California, and later moved to Boise, Idaho, where he and his wife Sharon currently live with their two border collies, Buddy and Rusty.
An avid reader from a very young age, he's been inspired by a wide variety of authors, including Robert Asprin, Jody Lynn Nye, R.A. Salvatore, Ed Greenwood and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It was the Hardy Boys novels that he discovered in the second grade however that inspired his great love of reading.
Duane spent years working as a PC Technician, but as much as he enjoyed working on computers, writing had always been his first love. After several failed attempts at writing full-length novels over the years, in 2013 he finally hit on a story that inspired him, and from that one little spark of inspiration, the Unseen Things series was born. The first novel, Origins, was first published in November of 2013, and was subsequently followed over the next three years by twenty more books in the series, as well as one other non-series standalone novel, with more to come in the future.
Aside from his writing, Duane is also a musician. He took his first bass guitar lesson in 1987, and has been playing bass ever since. He also plays some guitar, a little keyboard, and can play some basic drum rhythms without embarrassing himself. As he's always been a great lover of music, he often has it playing quietly in the background while he writes.

When Jarrod Grant was just fourteen years old, he watched helplessly as a troll-like agaronin came through a portal in his bedroom and abducted his mother, and his younger brother. He spent years brooding over the fact that they were gone, but during his senior year of high school, that all changed.
Tina and Sarah, made it their mission to find him some answers, and when they turned to a woman named Patricia for help, they got a lot more than they ever bargained for. Not only did she provide them with the answers they needed, but through her research she was able to locate the only person who'd ever come back after being abducted. That man provided her with notebooks full of information about his time as a slave in the Faranox dimension, and he also provided her with the means to travel back and forth between five different dimensions, including the one where Jarrod's family was being held.
Now that they've finally graduated from high school, Jarrod, Derek, Tina, and Sarah have all moved in with Patricia, and with her help and support, they make their first forays into the Faranox dimension. Mistakes are made and dangerous lessons are learned as they look for a way to bring Jarrod's family back home.
